Super Typhoon Haiyan was a very destructive and deadly Typhoon in West Pacific in 2013 that struck the Philippines on November 8. It packed winds of 195mph and gusting over 210mph and made landfall at that strength.

History[]

On November 3 a Tropical Depression formed in the western Pacific and the next day became a Tropical Storm,Getting the name Haiyan. On November 5 it hit Typhoon strength and the next day moved into the area of responsibility of the PAGASA receiving the name Yolanda. It reached Category 5 status later that day and hit max strength on the 7. The next day it struck decimating everything in its path. After its landfall, It hit Vietnam as a Severe Tropical Storm 3 days later.
